Founded in 2015, we specialise in civil construction works including earthworks, asphalting, demolition and more.
We are a proudly Māori-owned and operated company helping Kiwi organisations and homeowners to achieve positive outcomes through quality work and friendly service you can rely on.
We are available to work on construction projects of all sizes in Canterbury and across New Zealand.

Directors Steve Apes and Jeff McLennan founded Apes Contracting with a vision to help build a brighter future for the Canterbury region. With a focus on providing top quality solutions, their initial projects soon led to ongoing contracts with some of New Zealand’s leading contractors including Isaac and Fulton Hogan.
As well as sharing a passion for all things construction, Steve and Jeff share a strong connection to their home city of Christchurch, where they are active members of the community.
